💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal INCURSION…Welcome!

Thanks for having us!

💿 Can you introduce us the current line-up of the band?

Maxx Havick & Michael Lashinsky on guitars, Buddy Norris on drums, Steve Samson on vocals and Stone Jamess on bass.

💿 On May 29th, 2020 was finally out your first EP THE HUNTER, reissued on CD and vinyl vs. by NO REMORSE RECORDS on January 29th, 2021 and well-received on our pages. Can you tell us somethin'about its composition process and style? What's the matter of the title THE HUNTER?

It’s a concept record. We are fans of Rush, Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate & Venom who have songs that are long stories. This was our attempt to be in their league. We had the idea of a man’s journey from struggle to redemption and tried to tell the story of the different parts of that quest with each song.

💿 In 1984 was out your first demo; Can you tell us somethin'about the first era of the band (1982-1986) and the 2018’s reunion?

The earlier era was us trying to find our way. We had a different singer and it wasn’t the right fit.

There wasn’t a huge scene even though we played the clubs often, but we couldn’t find what we thought would fit at the time.

When we got back together, it was just Maxx, Michael and Buddy jamming for old time’s sake. One thing led to another and we started to think we could at the very least record the songs we had.

I knew Steve and asked if he would sing.

He said yes and we set about recording. During the recording, the bassist we were set to have play on it fell thru and we found Stone. Steve & Stone were truly the missing pieces and made this bigger than our initial idea.

💿 In your early times as musicians which artists or bands influenced you the most?

Kiss, Ted Nugent, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Raven, Anvil, Nasty Savage, The Drills & Hallow’s Eve

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about birth of relationships with NO REMORSE?

When the EP was finished, we sent it to everyone. We had gotten a few offers for a CD only release, but we were interested in also having a vinyl release.

When the guys at No Remorse first listened, they passed. Then a few weeks later they came back and said, “the more we listened, the more we liked it – let’s do a deal.” It’s been a great relationship.

💿 How is difficult promote a new work throughout this never-ending covid madness?

Very difficult. We would’ve liked to have been able to do shows, but this has given us time to work on the full length album which we are starting on soon.

💿 Here at HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL we are strong defender of classic format. love for vintage or isn't there a future outside digital?

I think we are in an age where you can meet fans where they are. If you are a fan of vinyl, we can offer you vinyl.

If you’re a fan of CD’s we can offer you CD’s. If you are mobile and prefer streaming, we can offer you that option as well.

Incursion has been helped by these options.

We have gotten tremendous support by the YouTube channel NWOTHM – Full Albums. That channel is the hub of this wave and we have gotten a lot of support from the fans there.

💿 In absence of live music many bands provides streaming concerts..You agree or disagree? What's your opinion about?

We’re a new band, so there are not a lot of opportunities for us to do a streaming concert, but we are open to doing them.

We may even do one soon! I think it speaks to the desire for bands to play. We would love to play live, but we also want to keep our band members and fans safe.

We hope as there is more information and understanding of what is happening, we can make wise choices.

💿 Great cover for THE HUNTER..Can you tell us something about?

The cover was illustrated by Philip Lawvere. You may know him from his work with Kreator, Celtic Frost & Exmortus.

We reached out to him before we had our deal with No Remorse and he came up with an idea that really fit the feel of what we wanted to convey.

It was a nice compliment of the art and the music coming together.
