UK Traditional Metal band Dark Forest will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the release of a new EP, entitled “Ridge & Furrow”.

The EP will be released on CD, digital, and vinyl formats via Cruz Del Sur Music.

Dark Forest — founded and led by guitarist Christian Horton, after a demo, three EPs and five long-players, have cemented their status as one of best UK traditional HM band.

Now with their 20th anniversary upon them, Horton, along with vocalist Josh Winnard, second guitarist Patrick Jenkins and drummer Adam Sidaway, are bringing out the five-song Ridge & Furrow EP to ring in the occasion.

Recorded at Hellfire Studios in the Midlands of England with producer Ajeet Gill, Ridge & Furrow features four new Dark Forest songs and a re-recording of longtime fan favorite, “Under the Greenwood Tree.”

The first song is SKYLARK, a brilliant metal gallop, enriched by a various structure that holds high attention and a gorgeous solo part.

THE GOLDEN ACRE starts with a a soft arpeggio, growing after second; a traditional HM track where there’s no lack of folk and melodic elements.

RIDGE FURROW is another brilliant song with an epic Maiden’s attitude, while MEADOWLAND is a great interlude before well-known UNDER THE GREENWOOD.
