💿 Can you introduce us the current line-up of the band?

Yes of course - the current line-up of the band is Mark on drums, Andrew on Bass guitar, Alex on Lead guitar and Marcel Vocals/Guitar.

💿 On Apr 22nd, 2022 will be out your new full-length entitled FASTLANE positive received on our pages. Can you tell us somethin'about its composition process and style?

Fastlane was a completely different way of working than the previous albums. We worked more together on lyrics and riffs this time. You hear a lot more influences on this record. That makes the whole course more interesting and varied. Andrew and I worked on the songs and lyrics together and exchanged a lot of ideas.

💿 What's the role of lyrics in your songs?

Above all, the lyrics should reflect life in the songs. How we experience it. With all the ups and downs and everything that happens in the world. We have tried to describe all facets of existence. Texts have an enormous impact.

💿 In your early times which artists influenced you the most?

That's quite different. For example, I started with the Beatles. They are still one of my favorites to this day. Then it quickly went into hard rock and metal. I used to listen to Metallica and Slayer and Sepultura a lot. Actually I heard everything, haha. It's the same with the other guys. But then there are also some interesting differences between the guys.

💿 FASTLANE is out on EL PUERTO RECORDS. Can you tell us somethin’ about the relationship with them?

We are very happy that we ended up on el puerto. They go very well with crossplane. You can tell that they like the band very much and do a lot for us. Of course we are very happy about that. For the band, el puerto is just right. Nothing better could have happened to us.

💿 Here at HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL we are strong defender of classic format. Love for vintage or isn't there a future outside digital?

I think there is a very good future for it. I think that the fans continue to like to hold something in their hands or look at the album covers when they first hear the record. Especially in the field of rock and metal, it's on the rise again.

💿 We love the cover of FASTLANE....Can you tell us somethin’about?

There's only one thing to say. "The Art of Axel Herman". A great cover he designed for us.

💿Can you tell us somethin’ about your next project?

We will be touring a lot to promote Fastlane live. The release party was on April 21st, 2022 at the Rockpalast Bochum. On April 22nd, 2022 we were on tour with J.B.O.

We're really looking forward to it. There will definitely be a few more shows in between, before we go to Germany for 17 shows with Phil Campbell and the Bastard sons in October. A great year for crossplane
