💿 Hi, it's a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal CHRISTIAN LILJEGREN Welcome!!

Thank you very much Giovanni at Hardrockheavymetal, It´s an honor for me.

💿 On March 26th will be out your new album MELODIC PASSION well-received on our pages. Can you tell us somethin'about its composition process and style ?

I wanted to show the world after 30+ albums in different bands my world as music composer, producer so with this album I am behind everything.

The music is composed and arranged by me and guitarist Stephen Carlson and the album is produced by me, Olov Andersson (Audiovision, Veni Domine) and Viktor Stenqvist (Soundengineer and mixerman for Narnia both studio and live).

Also I wanted to reflect and summarize my career and go back to where all started and make an that shows the dynamics in melodic hardrock like the classic album such as Rainbow – Rising, Sweet – Give us a wink, Deep Purple – Burn, Thin Lizzy – Thunder and lightning, Dio – Last in line & Uriah Heep – Return to fantasy.

💿 In your early times as musicians which artists influenced you the most?

My musical influences are Rainbow, Deep Purple, Queen, The Sweet, Stryper, Europe & Yngwie Malmsteen

As vocalist my heroes are Freddie Mercury, Ronnie James Dio, Brian Connolly, John Lawton, David Byron & Joey Tempest.

💿 How is difficult promote a new work throughout this never-ending covid madness?

My passion has really helped and I have done 5 promotion videos so far for this album, maybe there will be more to promote on social media and I am working hard to have good communication with my fans worldwide. I have put my focus there and not on the virus and I have many great songs coming the next year and wonderful support from my fans and I am deeply proud for this alnum.

💿 Here at HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL we are strong defender of classic format..love for vintage or isn't there a future outside digital?

I love vintage CD, cassettes and vinyl and I have done an amazing CD with a 24 pages book with my musical story since childhood and lots of pictures. Also the vinyl is a luxury Gatefold LP with lots of pictures pressed in small quantities in black and purple. Still I think the digital is good bur for me you don´t have an album until you have a CD or LP version.

💿 In absence of live music many bands provides streaming concerts..You agree or disagree? What's your opinion about?

It´s ok with live streaming but for personally I rather prefer to do real concerts and I have focused to make 5 music videos but I will never say never to streaming.

💿 You're known as singer of NARNIA..Can you tell us somethin'about next steps of the band? You're working on new album, right?

Yes, we have started the recording for our 9th studio album and I am very excited. Great songs and we are so excited to do this and I am sure the Narnia fans will be very happy and new fans as well. Hopefully end of this year or early next year 2022 for the release and we will follow up with a tour.

💿 You shared stages with many bands and artists..Who's the craziest?

Yes I have been touring and playing with wonderful artists such Dio, Stratovarius, Children of Bodom, Uriah Heep, Glenn Hughes, Rhapsody and many more artists on festivals. I think the craziest ones were Stratovarius or more their keyboard player Jens Johansson from Yngwie Malmsteen´s Rising Force and Rainbow. He also guest on Living Water and also his brother Anders Johansson (Hammerfall, Tungsten, Malmsteen´s Rising Force who also stepped in for one show when Narnia drummer Andreas "Habo" Johansson were occupied with touring with Royal Hunt.

You´ll never know what´s happening with these brothers. Crazy, funny and extremely talented.
