2020: An Year of HARD ROCK on Hardrockheavymetal!

Another year is gone (this mad 2020) and it's time to show our highlights in HARD ROCK world..as usual NO CHARTS!

It was the year of many comeback: firstly AC/DC were out with amazing POWER UP, a bomb with the line up of BACK IN BLACK, obviously except Mal.

DEEP PURPLE were out with smart WHOOSH! and OZZY OSBOURNE with ORDINARY MANY..the last album of masters of the genre?! NEVER SAY NEVER!!

Legendary ACE FREHLEY provided the second part of the trip throughout songs and artists that influenced him in the early years of his never-ending career, ALCATRAZZ were out with BORN INNOCENT while BLUE ÖYSTER CULT hit us with with amazing THE SYMBOL REMAINS.

Third album by SAINTED SINNERS, entitled UNLOCKED & RELOADED, the band led by Frank Pané, also guitarist of BONFIRE, out with brilliant FISTFUL OF FIRE.

The new singer of SAINTED SINNERS is JACK MEILLE (TYGERS OF PAN TANG), out also with LOVE IN STEREO by his side project DAMN FREAKS, while the previous vocalist, DAVID REECE, was out with brilliant CACOPHONY OF SOUL, after the new deal with EL PUERTO Records.

To remind also the interesting EP by ZAKK SABBATH, the side project by ZAKK WYLDE, entitled VERTIGO, a tribute to legendary debut album by BLACK SABBATH, THE SERPENT RINGS by MAGNUM and the new chapter by Phil Campbell and..his family band!

REB BEACH, fancy guitarist of WHITESNAKE and WINGER, was involved in two projects: his solo album and BLACK SWAN, a brilliant super-band put togheter by FRONTIERS, that involves Robin McAuley, Jeff Pilson and Matt Starr.

Among others, to remark an interesting compilation of early times of DOKKEN, an amazing solo album by JOSH RAMOS, in the past guitarist of HARDLINE, and the return of ANGELES.

Two albums out by Swiss legends GOTTHARD; #13 was the new studio full-lenght while THE EYES OF A TIGER..was the tribute to not forgotten STEVE LEE.

SIGN OF THE TIMES was the new album by AXEL RUDY PELL, always faithful to his style, while 2020 is the title of the new VANDENBERG’s album, a masterpiece enhanced by RONNIE ROMERO on vocals; SYNCRONIZED was the last chapter of the history of fancy FM, while WAR FOR THE WORLD was the new album by FIERCE HEART.

A lot of energy in the self-titled album by TORCHLIGHT PARADE from St. Louis and in BAPTIZED IN GASOLINE by BÜRNER.

On the more melodic side to remark the new amazing album LIONS by TOKYO MOTOR FIST, a band led by TED POLEY and STEVE BROWN.

One of the best shots of the year was the new album by DAXX & ROXANE, the Swiss band now based in London.

Last but not least to remember four bands from Italy: legendary VANADIUM and FIRE TRAILS singer PINO SCOTTO with DOG EAT DOG, WITCHWOOD with their masterpiece BEFORE THE WINTER, awesome example of Hard/Prog, and other confirms by brilliant 17 CRASH and SPEED STROKE.

Another year is passed..ready for a 2021 full of new HARD ROCK music hoping to return a.s.a.p. on the stage!
