💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal PATTE CARLSSON of FRETLESS!! Welcome!! Thanks a lot it is great that you help us spread our music!  💿 On Aug 16th will be out your new platter called DAMNATION, a stunning collection of hard rock and classic metal songs, positive received on our pages. Can you tell us somethin’about its composition process and style? We love fast and aggressive hardrock/metal with melodic influences. I write the songs in my studio and present it for the guys. Everyone does their parts when we meet at rehersals and it is a thrill to hear the result and see what direction my studio idea turned out to be. It is almost great but not always. That is the way we work and it works well. 💿 Your new album is out via Pure Steel Records; can you tell us somethin' about relationship with them? We are so happy to be one of the bands in the Pure Steel Records family. The label is driven by passion and the love to hardrock and metal. When they heard our latest singles they made the decision to sign us right away.

💿 Can you tell us somethin'about the birth of your passion for music? Which bands and artists have influenced you the most? I have always been into music in some way. As a youngster I played hockey and football most of the time but then I started to play on a bad acoustic guitar. My Dad did always sing Country when we took a ride with the car and he was for sure my idol then :) So I started to sing and play more and more and then me and my friends started the first band and it was called “Fasad” After that is has been soooo many bands. But 2009 when Fretless was born it felt right and it still do. Influences for me has always been Iron Maiden and Accept and today I like a lot of bands for example Primal Fear and the latest album from Judas Priest is a killer. 💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl and cassette; what’s your feeling about these classic format and the current music “business”? I am so happy that the vinyl is coming back. It was more fun back in the days when you did buy a vinyl album. I could be sitting in my room for hours reading all the lyrics and everything on its cover. I like it a lot. After getting in touch with the guys at the label Pure Steel I believe there is hope for the business. Otherwise you have to be alert and for the young bands it is easy to be eager to sign a deal with a label just to have a record deal. I think it is many out there that have bad contracts they are struggling with. We don´t :) We have also inked a management deal with Som Do Darma from Brazil. We met the guys in Slovakia on our last tour 2018 and it felt just right so we are in good hands both with the label and the management. 💿 Can you tell us somethin’ about your live projects? We will do 2 tours 2019. One european tour in late September and the beginning of October. In December we will do a tour in Brazil. But first we will do 3 shows in our hometown Vansbro in Sweden. 💿 You’re a brilliant musician with a lot of experience and you have the chance to share the stage with many artists and bands..Who were the craziest which you met? Thanks! Oh I don´t know really. Maybe when I and our former bass player did went to a venue in Gothenburg. It was not so crowded. Then I guy came and told us to move so he could come through... but as I said it was not crowded at all so he had a lot of space to walk around us. Get your self a hair cut and a ordinary work guys he said.... then he smiled couse he was just playing around. It was Mr Mickey Dee.

💿 Amazing cover for DAMNATION! Can you tell us somethin'about? This one is made by the artist Cadies Art and I bought it from him several years ago. It should be on a album that should be named Stranded but that did never happened. Then for the Damnation album it just felt so right. 💿 Thank you so much for your time!
