TIM BROWN - STRIKER

💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal TIM BROWN of STRIKER!! You’re Welcome!!

Thanks for having me.

💿 “PLAY TO WIN", your new album, is out from one month! It was well-received everywhere and you truly deserve it! Can you tell us somethin’about this platter, especially about its composition process and its “multi-faceted” style?

For this album we wanted to try something new. We listened to all our favourite bands and albums, and realised that most of these big giant albums had a lot of variety and included ballads and the like.

I think a lot of metal genres really shy away from those types of songs, but really those are some of the most interesting and successful songs that metal bands create.

Look at "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica for example.

They are the biggest metal band because they weren't scared of trying new things and putting different emotions into their music.

💿 Six studio album, one demo and one EP; Is it maybe the right time for a live album or do you think it’s an outdate format considering the overabundance of live video on Youtube?

Yea totally! Just patiently waiting to get our rights back from our old label. Soon!

💿 Amazing RANDY BLACK (Ps..we love his style!) played drums in studio for “PLAY TO WIN”. Can you tell us somethin’ about this prestigious partnership and what is the added value of this cooperation?

Randy is actually a family friend of ours! He also played on "Stand In The Fire" for us.

Adam, our drummer, broke his arm last year and couldn't record so we asked Randy.

He's an amazing musician and we are always stoked to work with him.

He is an absolute beast and has lots of great ideas.

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your early times? Which bands influenced you more than any other?

Bands like Vicious Rumours, Racer X, Saxon, etc, were all really influencial to us in the begging.

They still are too, but now we have opened up our style and have all kinds of influences seeping in.

In the early days we just wanted to shred!

We still do now, but I think we really focus on what the song needs instead of trying to just cram shredding all over it.

💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl. Can you tell us somethin’about your feeling with this classic format and the current “music business”?

Viny has always been an important thing for us. It's always sold about as well as CDs, at least for us. If you are getting a physical format, vinyl is the obvious choice. It's the actual music pressed into something, and it really makes the listener sit and listen to the whole thing.

💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal!
