💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal JOHN MACKO of FIFTH ANGEL! Welcome!! 

Thank you, glad to be here! 💿 FIFTH ANGEL are back after almost 30 years! “THE THIRD SECRET”, your new album, is “hot’n’ready” and will be released on October 26 th!. 

Can you tell us somethin’about its composition process and style, are you satisfied? 

“CAN YOU HEAR ME”, the first single is amazing!! So glad you like it! it was a little difficult figuring out how a new song writing process would work being that Ted and Ed were not involved, Kendall had some really great song ideas he had been working up and since we did not have a singer, Ken suggested that we use Kendall on lead vocals, So Ken and Kendall started to work together on a few ideas and to my surprise it just seemed to gel! 

I think we got lucky that we were able to create these new songs that captured the spirit of the old songs, but with a updated sound, So yes I am completely satisfied and I believe that this record stands with the first two!

💿 Also “THE THIRD SECRET” will be available on gorgeous vinyl edition. What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music “business”?

I love that we are able to offer this format, because there are still a lot of fans that prefer this method, and I will add that vinyl really does sound better, so it’s great for those who want it! The state of the current business is vastly different now, it’s an evolving thing! I think there are some pros and some cons, the pros are that it’s much easier to get music out there to the masses and certainly cheaper and easier to make the recordings, but the bad part is there is very little in the way of making money and making a living at it. 

Unless you’re constantly touring and selling merch, it’s hard to keep the revenue coming in. 

The other thing is there is so much competition! 

For young bands trying to make it, it’s next to impossible.

💿 Your new album will be out via NUCLEAR BLAST. Can you tell us somethin’ about relationships with them?

Certainty! We love them! I can’t say enough how great it is to work with these people! They give us 100% creative freedom and stand behind us.

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your next live projects?

As of now, we only have a few shows booked, Metal Assault Festival in Feb 2019 and then the Rock Hard Festival in June 2019. 

We are looking to book more shows hopefully for 2019!

💿 We love the cover of TTS. Can you tell us somethin’ about?

It’s great right? We developed this idea with the first Epic release cover in mind while adding some of the elements of the Third Secret Description. 

We felt fans would relate to the elements of the early artwork carrying that into the new artwork. We went through a few artists before settling on Zsofia, she just blew us away and she was able to take our vision and create it perfectly.
