MARIOS P. SACRAL RAGE

💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal MARIOS P. of SACRAL RAGE! Welcome!! Hallo Hardrockheavymetal! Thanks for having us here. The pleasure is all ours. 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about the birth of your band? When is this all begun? Well, it all started in December of 2011, where our drummer and our singer were drinking some booze in a metal bar here in Athens. They had the idea of forming a speed metal in the vein of classic Judas Priest, Agent Steel at the time. After a week or so, we met all together in a friend’s b-day party and then the whole thing started taking its form. 💿 “BEYOND CELESTIAL ECHOES”, your new full-length, is “hot’n’ready” and will be out from Oct 19th!. Can you tell us somethin’about its composition process? Are you satisfied about this platter? We have the privilege to listening to it in preview and we were very impressed! Thanks for your words. If we weren’t satisfied, we would never release it. We always believed that if you want to make some progress, you have to do things better than before. Whether if this has to do with the actual songs, the production etc. The composition process was a bit similar with our previous works. Most of the times me (Marios-guitars) and Spyros (our bass player), bring the songs in demo format. Then Dimitris studies his parts and brings his ideas on the table. After that, we all jam at the studio and we may change some minor things here and there. 💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; what’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music “business”? I don’t know if this is business anymore, or at least if it is, it’s for really few people. We are young enough in order to have lived in the glorious days of the music business but at least we are able to do what we like and people seem to like it. Regarding the vinyl format it’s really great that this has revived. Our drummer and singer are vinyl-maniacs, although I personally prefer the cd due to their compact format. Though I can’t deny the fact that it’s really cool to hold your own work on vinyl. 💿 Your new album will be out via CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC; Can you tell us somethin’about relationships with them? It all began when Enrico, the mastermind behind Cruz del Sur, listened to a promo we made back in 2014. He offered as a deal and by accepting it, was the best thing we did. Our relationship (on personal level also) is really great since he understands what we want to do but also gives us the “freedom” we need to express ourselves. 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your live projects? Right now, we are trying to put together our live release show in our hometown, here in Athens and we are also on the talks for some shows abroad. 💿 We love the cover of BCE..Who made it? The man responsible for the great artwork is Dimitar Nikolov. We were introduced to him by our dear friends DEMOLITION TRAIN. He made some great artworks for bands like ROSS THE BOSS, DEMOLITION TRAIN of course, RUTHLESS and METAL INQUISITOR among others. The great thing about him, is that we just gave him the lyrics of our song “The Glass” along with minimum guidelines and he came back with this artwork idea. The man’s a genius. 💿 Lastly, you came from GREECE; Can you tell us somethin’ about your local hard’n’heavy scene that seems really alive and kickin’? It is alive and kicking since we have lots of bands with their own distinctive style that are making great music as well. Many people tend to know Greece for our extreme metal scene, like death or black metal, but the truth is that we got great bands in a wide variety of styles. Whether it is classic heavy, thrash, hard rock or progressive. I guess this has to do with our aura as a culture along with the fact that we are geographically a bit far away from other hard/rock metal countries, so we are developing our own sound. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal! We want to thank you again for this interview. Cheers!!

(Thanks Clawhammer Pr))
