💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal TITAN FOX of HAMMER KING! Welcome!!

Titan: Hello and thank you very much in return – the pleasure is all mine! Thanks a lot for the great review we got from you!!! 💿 “POSEIDON WILL CARRY US HOME”, your new full-length, is “hot’n’ready” and will be out from Oct 5th! Can you tell us somethin’about its composition process? Are you satisfied about this platter? We have the privilege to listening to it in preview and we were very impressed!

Titan: Thanks a lot, that's great to hear! The KING will spare your lives! As always, all music and lyrics were given by the majesty, the HAMMER KING. It became apparent in the early stages already, that we would have a maritime album this time around. The "Nautical Trilogy" consisting of the title track, "At The Mercy Of The Waves" and "We Sail Cape Horn" literally fell into place. When Dolph A. Macallan (drums) presented the intro/verse of "At The Mercy…", we could instantly feel he rolling of the waves – so we knew where to go. 

The same with "We Sail Cape Horn". The main melody sounded so maritime, it made the entire song.

 We wanted to make a huge song of it, and we did so. The KING decided to have the lead melody for the verse and for the chorus – and it is there: Just in very different tempos. We are very satisfied, we are pleased to say the least! Charles Greywolf has once again produced the album and he has given by far the very best sound the KING has had so far: Very much more organic and with more feeling.

 The mastering by Tony Lindgren, Fascination Street Studios, has left the production very much depth and dynamics – really great. 

By the way: No fucking trigger drum sounds and no shitty auto-tuning on the vocals have been used. To death with 'em! 💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music “business”?

Titan: Vinyl is so much more than a myth! It is by far superior to CD or digital downloads. It keeps music warm and organic, vinyl always sounds better. And it looks much better as well – "Poseidon" will get a limited blue vinyl, I can' wait to get my hands on it!!

💿 The new album will be out again via CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC; Can you tell us somethin’ about relationships with them?

Titan: HAMMER KING surely is an exotic band for Cruz Del Sur Music, polarizing and commercial in a Metal way. 

We are more than happy to be with Cruz Del Sur Music, they are great, great people! 

Honest and with a lot of personality.

I know they believe in HAMMER KING and the KING is believes in Cruz Del Sur Music!

It is a very healthy working relationship and a very friendly relationship beyond. It could not be better! 💿 Can you tell us somethin’ about your next live projects?

Titan: We are blessed to be playing live all the time. 

We have just signed a booking deal with Shock City Productions from Scotland and it is starting really promising.

We will some shows with The Three Tremors featuring Harry Conklin (Jag Panzer), Ripper Owens and Sean Peck (Cage), we will play a show in Belgium with Demon in December and we play shows in clubs and on festival stages. 

The KING keeps us busy, we can't sit at home in the castle too often – it’s great! 💿 Lastly, all traditional heavy metal fans are still shocked about Mark Shelton’s sudden death..What’s your memory about a man that who has contributed so much to “our” scene?

Titan: I have know Manilla Road's drummer Neudi for quite some years and so I felt double-attached to Manilla Road and to Mark Shelton, whom I sadly have never met in person. 

You can't praise Mark's music too much, it was unique for sure.

 Did you see the touching video message from the band?

Bryan Hellroadie spoke so much from his heart and honored his friend Mark Shelton a lot, it is hard to add anything here.

 Mark Shelton died after a show, he died practically while playing his last concert – this has style – but of course we all thought Mark would be with us for a much longer time.

 Rest in peace, Shark. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal!
