💿Hi, It's a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal JUSSI PAJUNPÄÄ of HEROES DON'T ASK WHY! Welcome!! Hi, thank you for having us! 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your early days? When is this all begun? And what's the matter of your moniker?

Heroes Don't Ask Why started in summer of 2015.

At first it was just an idea and autumn 2015 we finally got our first rehearsal place and started playing.

This was meant to be hardcore group with screaming vocalist, but in the beginning of 2016, we lost our original drummer Joachim Kiviniemi.

So we buried the concept with him and started fresh start with our current drummer Kimmo Puhakka and as myself on vocals.

Heroes Don't Ask Why (HDAW) was something that our original drummer had had in mind for years.

It sounded cool, so we kept the name, even though he left the band. 💿 Your new EP "SOUND OF A BROKEN HEART" is ready (available from May 15th). Can you tell us somethin’about its composition process and style? Are you satisfied about this platter? Sound of a broken heart is something that we started writing after our first self-titled EP came out in December 2016.

On our first record, there we're still some of the original hardcore idea behind some of those songs.

On this EP we wanted to make our melodies even stronger and get a focused album. I think it came out great.

Songs have some good melodies and lyrics are penned with a though. 💿 The real "news" in music industry is the return of vinyl. What's your feeling about this classic format and the current music "business"? I think it's great that vinyl is coming back.

Music business is in some kind of turning point.

On the other hand, it's great to have Spotify on the phone and listen lots of good music, while going out with a dog. 💿Can you tell us somethin’about your next live projects? We have few concerts coming up in Finland.

We'll play in our home town biggest club next week in support of our new EP.

We're slowly gathering connections and listeners and hopefully someday we play some outdoor festivals also here and abroad.

💿 We love the cover of SOABH; who made it? We also think that it's great cover as well as other pages of our 6-page digipack. The man behind graphic design is Terje Tiilikka.

He is truly one of a kind guy and lives here on our home town of Kokkola.

We're glad that we found him through some mutual musician friends. 💿 Lastly, what’s your opinion about the Hard’n’heavy scene of Finland? It seems in great growth? We have lots of metal bands here and scene is really strong. But there are quite a few places were bands can play these days compared to what it used to be past decades. 💿 Thank you so much foryour time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal!
