💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal DANNY, singer of ELIMINATOR, the well-known Heavy Metal band from UK! WELCOME!!

Thanks for having us!

💿 Let’s start talking about the early days of the band. When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you?

I’m sure the other members can give more insight into the early days, but it’s an interesting story for me. I became friends with Eliminator around the time they released We Rule the Night, when I was 17.

I saw them perform at the local rock bar in my hometown when they played with my friends’ band.

After that, we went to many of their gigs (and parties).

I have to say it was their influence that sparked my interest in classic heavy metal. Now, seven years later, here I am singing for them! 💿 For a few days is out your first full-length called “LAST HORIZON”. We were really impressed (our review on line tomorrow)! Can you say us somethin’about that and its composition process and style?

Thank you! I’m happy you like it! Composition generally begins with guitarists Jack & Matt building a framework of a song, then it is proposed to the whole band and the song takes shape.

Lyrics and vocal melodies are usually the last piece of a song that is added. Note that many of the songs on the album were written before I joined.

In terms of style, I’d say that a signature of Eliminator writing is strong, memorable lead guitar sections.

For vocals, I look to compose strong and soaring melodies that I can belt out!

💿 We love the cover of “LAST HORIZON”..Who made it?

Simon “Pye” Parr, of 2000AD and Realm of the Damned fame. A fantastic artist who has very much communicated the sci-fi vibe we were going for.

💿 What’s your feelings about music “business” today and about a classic format like vinyl?

I personally have no feelings about this. We play music, and we’re lucky enough to have a following and a label to help us out!

💿 “LAST HORIZON” is out via DISSONANCE PRODUCTIONS, a label that pays a big attention to UK “new & old” traditional band. Can you tell us somethin’about relationships with them?

Dissonance has given us a wonderful opportunity to take something we love doing and record it properly and reach a wider audience.

The label has invested in the scene here and I feel we’re all able to get the absolute best out of ourselves because of it.

💿 Can you give us some info about your next live projects? Are scheduled any gigs?

Yes, we currently have two shows in London coming up: 20th April at The Devonshire , and then another on 25th May at the Underworld for “British Steel 2”.
