💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal LUIS DOMINGOS of KRULL, Epic HM band from BRAZIL!! Welcome!!

Hello friends of Hardrockheavymetal, the pleasure is all mine, it is a great honor for me to participate in this interview, thank you very much to all of you.

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your early days of your career? When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you and What’s the matter of your moniker?

I started singing at 4 years old, encouraged by my parents and relatives, still very small, I joined Heavy Metal at age 13, with some bands and projects of friends, and only in 1998 when I was 18 years old when I met my great friend and brother Tony Fernandes (former Krull guitarist), who now resides in the United States at the time of high school, when we decided to found our first Heavy Metal band, the band KRULL.

The proposal at the time was to do traditional Heavy Metal, I also had some passages in other Heavy Metal bands like: Final Glory, Dream Divine, Bysteel and Brave. My biggest influences have always been the classic 80's bands, such as: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Chastain, Angel Witch, Exciter, Grave Digger, Warlord, Manowar, Cirith Ungol, Medieval Steel, Riot and many others.

As for my nickname, (hehe), in fact my real name is Luis Carlos Domingos, this surname "Domingos" comes from my father, a Krenak Indian from Brazil, as well as my mother (R.I.P), was also an Indian of the Tupi Guarani, and the name "Krull" comes from a tribute to the band, because at the time as I said, Tony Fernandes and I, we founded the same, Homage to the indigenous folklore of Brazil, to the fiction/fantasy film of 1983, to King Kull of Atlantida, and to several other meanings.

We changed from the name of Eternal Fate to KRULL, due to the new theme to be approached, and in respect of the former members who passed through it.

💿 “THE BLACK COAST ”, your new full-length, will be out on April 27th. Can you tell us somethin’about its composition process? Are you satisfied about this platter? We have the privilege to listening to it in preview and we were very impressed!

Thank you very much, I am immensely grateful and happy that you have enjoyed it, it is really a wonderful feeling of happiness and joy, to know that your humble work is being recognized, and that people from all over the world like your work, it is very gratifying . April 27th will be the World launch of the new Full, "The Black Coast", and we are very anxious and excited by that date, without a doubt a dream come true.

You know that this album is conceptual, it is inspired and based on the work of Robert E. Howard, great master of "Sword & Sorcery" (Creator of the fictional characters: Conan, Kull, Solomon Kane, among others).

All songs, lyrics and the entire history of the album were made and written by me, only four songs had a great and wonderful help from my wife Kim Wild (Kimberley Nogueira), former lead singer of the band Witchesburn, I usually like to compose many times I did the concept of the album first, I studied all the work of Robert, Conan, Kull, etc., ideas, the melodies were appearing, and I was embedding the lyrics of the songs within the history of the album, and I sent all the songs ready to our guitarist Ricky, to make their arrangements, and so we went into the studio to record, so we worked hard, day and night, for 3 long months, we gave our best to our fans and brothers who accompany all our humble work in these 20 years of band, and honestly speaking, we were very satisfied and pleased with the final result of the album. 💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music “business”?

We are very happy with this news, I am very much a fan and admirer of the vinyl format, and I love it very much, it is part of my story, childhood and adolescence, we grew up listening. My feeling about this format is the best in every way, I have lots of vinyl, and I love spending my time listening.

And knowing that now we will also have the Vinyl of the band KRULL, it is very gratifying.

For Iron Shield Records, will release our album, in this format also, but in limited edition, so do not waste time and already guarantee yours, huh? (hehe)

💿 “THE BLACK COAST” will be out through IRON SHIELD RECORDS. Can you tell us somethin’about relationships with them?

Our relationship with Iron Shield Records is great, very good, so much so that the album "The Black Coast" was supposed to be released in the year 2017, but due to some problems that I had with the line up of the band, we ended up having a delay for the release, in which the label understood perfectly, and I have nothing to complain about, only to thank, thank you immensely for having trusted and believed in our potential and our simple work, Thomas is simply a guy from the well, understanding and patient, an honor and a pleasure for me to have known him, and to be part of his friends. We are very grateful to them for everything.

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your next live projects?

We will start the National Tour (Brazil), now in April, April 21 in Osasco - São Paulo, as headliners of the event, and making the album debut in this show, after that we have some more dates to confirm tour, and also confirmed a show at one of the best festivals in Brazil, in June at "Roça n Roll", in the city of Varginha - Minas Gerais, alongside great bands from Brazil and abroad, and in October in Open the Road Festival - Open Air, A great festival with several world renowned bands. And some more dates being announced and confirmed from the tour "The Black Coast Tour 2018", in the next days, and if everything goes well, until the beginning of 2019, we will be doing a European Tour, releasing the album "The Black Coast".

💿 We love the cover of your album..Who made it?

That Cool ! Thank you very much, we were very happy that you enjoyed it. In fact it would be another cover, but it was very modern, it did not correspond with the theme of the album, because we wanted very much something that portrayed the history of the album, with the characters of the story, and that it was a drawing, simple, as the bands of the 80s illustrated their covers.

And we succeeded, we were very happy with the final result, I got to talk to him at the end of last year, and I came up with the idea of how we wanted, and it worked, who was a great brother of the State of Santa Catarina in Brazil called Fabiano Blator, also musician and drummer of a great band of Speed Metal, called Battalion, who illustrates the covers of the albums of his band, and already made of other bands also.
