💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal LAURENT METIVIER, drummer of FRENCH TRADITIONAL HEAVY METAL band TENTATION! Welcome!

Hi Hardrockheavymetal, Thanks for your interest about Tentation, it's a pleasure for me too, great to be here. 

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your early days? When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you?

The story began in 2012 in south of France, at Torreilles, a nice town full of sun near the sea. I wasn't in the band at the beginning and Pat, Guix and Guillaume worked on Trance cover for the pleasure et started to compose some songs like "Bruixes" and "Spectre de lumière". 

After recorded a demo for Bruixes, Pat, who plays drums and sing in the same time, asked me to join them in 2014 cause it was hard for him to play both parts. We practice for news songs and our Ep out on IDR and Infernö Rec in July 2015. 

For sure our influence are the old french heavy metal like Sortilege, H Bomb, ADX or Blaspheme, also NWOBHM Heavy Metal monsters like Judas Priest or Accept.

💿 You’re ready to publish a split EP with your friends IRON SLAUGHT called “-665-LES HORDES METALLIQUES”. Can you tell us somethin’about this platter and its composition process? We have the privilege to listening to it in preview and we’re very satisfied!!

Thanks for your nice words. The fates of both bands are bound. We know each Iron Slaught brothers since a lot of years, before to begin our bands and musical activity. 

We launched into the adventure of both bands at the same time, without having consulted. Both groups bring out their first material and begin to play live the same year, in 2015. 

And now, we out together our second material. There is a strong symbol around all this, that of the brotherhood who united the Pyrenean maniacs, in other words: Les Hordes Metalliques. 

For process, I just can speak about Tentation, Guillaume show us some riff guitar and we try to catch energy and emotion.

When music is finish, Pat work at his home for lyrics and vocal melody. 

Boths bands keep the same team for realize our record, for us we recorded ourselves and David Genet mix and master for finalize songs.

💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business?

The vinyl never died for Metal Maniacs cause it always had a special place in the heart of them. But, for to be honest, i'm not a real fetish with it. 

When I was young i didn't have money and also i bought more tapes and now, i listen a lot of music in my car, for my professional trajet and buy more Cd than vinyl. 

After it's real pleasure to listen vinyl cause it's always a special moment, you read the lyric, exam the cover always look so much better ect… 💿 What do you think about the renewed interest for Classic/Traditional HM? Love for “vintage” or a new golden era? 

It’s just that the scene has become a lot more active in the last few years. The true heavy metal living is for us front of stage, headbanging and singing, not on social network.

 If some asshole think Heavy Metal is trend, let just the time make his job and we live the scene like before cause heavy metal never dies ! 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your next projects, live and in studio? Is it now time for a full-length?

We’ll have to wait and see how it goes I guess. For this year we ‘re going to play 4 shows in France (Lyon, Skullfest, Courts of Chaos Fest and South Trooper Fest). 

For the full length, it isn’t in our priority for the moment. If we have energy, motivation and inspiration, why not, we are not under pressure we don’t make plan for the future. 

💿 I love your singing in French language..I believe that classic French bands, for example TRUST or SORTILEGE, were loosing something singing in english language..

We think the same. At this period, their label try to attack Europe & Usa for this band and they decide to translate some songs, it was just for the business. 

English version are so fade cause for this band, the lyric are very important, and you can’t feel the same atmosphere. 

We are so proud to have all this amazing fathers like Blaspheme, H Bomb or Sortilege. 

For Tentation, guitars help words to be strong and we just can catch with french, impossible to sing in english. 💿 Lastly, Can you tell us somethin’about the cover of 665.. Who made it? A really good job!

It’s a creation by Mario E.Lopez. It’s a very talented artist, he work for Toxik, Evil invaders, Hitten or Skeletal Remains and a lot of bands. 

We wanted a forest scene, with a heavy metal party spirit, all animals are some blazon of differents pyrenean lands. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal!
