DALE RAZ RASZEWSKI - THE RAZ

💿 Hi, it's a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal DALE RAZ RASZWESKI HARD ROCK band THE RAZ! Welcome! We are honored you asked. 💿 Can you tell us something about your early days of the band? When is this all begun? Spring of 2016 is when this all began. I was working at Guitar center in South Carolina when I met Nick Kuma Meehan. 

He was a customer trying out a guitar and he sounded amazing.

I went over and struck up a conversation with him about music and I found out we liked a lot of the same musicians and bands. When we finally got together to jam it was pure chemistry. 

We wrote 2 songs that first night and knew we had to put a band together. 

We recruited and friend and co worker of mine Andrew Bowers to play drums. Dave and Adam came into the band about 10 months ago March of 2017. It has been the 4 of us ever since.

💿 On Feb 9th will be out your new self-titled full-length. Can you tell us something about this platter and its composition process? We had the privilege to listening to this album in preview and we were really very impressed! First of all Thank you very much for saying all those great things in your review about us. We are really excited to be getting this record out on Rockshots Records. We are really proud of we have accomplished so far with this recording. Well Nick the guitarist and I wrote and arranged the music and wrote all the songs lyrically except Dave wrote the lyrics to Black Garden. 

Dave added his own style vocally to the songs we already had lyrics to.

Adam did all the drums. But by them adding their own style to these songs is a big part of what makes these songs special. 💿 The real "news" in music industry is the return of vinyl; What's your feeling about this classic format and the current music business? I love it! Vinyl will always sound better than Digital.

I hope we sell enough of this record where that is an option for us. I am happy to get our music out in any format so people can hear it. 

💿 The new album is out via ROCKSHOTS RECORDS. Can you tell us something about the relationships with them? 

Our Singer David Mcbee is in another band on Rockshots called "Black Yet Full Of Stars". When we recorded our demo EP Dave sent it over to Roberto at Rockshots and he loved it and wanted more so we went in and recorded 3 more songs. 

He asked us if we wanted to put them out on Rockshots and we said yes. It is wonderful working with them. They have done everything they have said they would so far. 💿 Can you tell us something about your next live projects? We have the CD Release Party coming up and after that we are opening a show for the band Wayland on Feb 24th here in Florence SC.

 Everything we have booked through June of 2018 is here in South Carolina & North Carolina. We are adding more shows as fast as we can. 

We would like to travel and tour outside the USA. Hopefully by the end of the year that will happen. 💿 Lastly, Can you tell us something about the cover of "THE RAZ". Who made it? A really good job! The cover art was done by a tattoo artist by the name of Josh Wiley here in SC. 

Nick our guitarist's wife Sara is also a tattoo artist. Josh showed Sara the picture and she showed Nick and he asked her to ask Josh if we could use it for our album cover. And now it is our album cover.
