DSease - Fabio and Alberto

💿 Hi,it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal Fabio and Alberto of DSease! Let’s start talking about the early days of the band..When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? Alberto: It's a pleasure for us answering to your questions and reading your review about our full-lenght! My background on music is from punk and grunge, band as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in chains, Green Day and Bad Religion are my influences but i love metal music too. Band was born from the ashes of a rammstein cover band called Kardioid, i was playing on bass guitar, then with Fabio and the two others members who gone away we decided to step up and doing something new, something we can feel “ours”.

Fabio: Hi everyone! The project started in 2012 with the idea to make a Rammstein tribute band, we were 6 guys but the singer and the drummer gone away so we decided to try making an unpublished project. Gabriele passed from the guitar to the drum, Massimiliano from keyboard to singing, we started to record some stuff until Massimiliano said he can't carry on the band; so Alberto tried to take his place and we finished to record the full lenght with this line up. Our influences are diversified: Rammstein, Tool, Nirvana, System of a down, Nine inch nails and much more, because all of us came from different musical paths. 💿 For a few days is out your first full-length called "ROTTEN DREAMS". Can you tell us somethin'about this platter and its composition process? We had the privilege to listening to it in preview and we’re very satisfied!

Alberto: Well, most of the initial riffs were composed by mine ideas, then we all worked to create and amalgamate all the influences and the sounds we had in mind, each member put a piece of his art in every song. We had a special attention about the lyrics, i wrote them in italian, me and Gabriele made the translation with a particular cure to choose the better words for making a perfect mix between music and lyrics.

💿 Honestly your style it’s hard to classify..Do you believe is important classify a style or a band or is it more important the quality of music?  Alberto: Personally i love our music is hard to classify, it's something new and for me it means Art, i believe is more important quality, a full research of sound, word and atmosphere whatever style can come out.

Fabio: Honestly we don't have either classified this CD; personally i think it's useful only if you look at the gain but if you look into an artistic way i think quality is the only thing that matters and when i compose i love thinking only about what i have to express, “how to” is a consequence. About this we all agreed.

💿 The album is out via Sneakout Records. Can you tell us somethin’about the relationships with them?  Alberto: We have a good feeling with the guys of Sneakout! They are professional and very kind!

Fabio: We met in 2012 when i released my first full lenght with Synful Ira, i was very satisfied with both the relationship with them and the results, so it was obviously proposing to them this work and i'm happy they liked it! Working with them is always cool! 💿 The real "news" in music industry is the return of vinyl; What's your feeling about this classic format and the current music business? Alberto: I love vinyl, it could be very cool printing our full lenght on that format, unfortunately this “era” is more digital and not so much people love buying music. I think music business is into a hard period, it's difficult finding places to make gigs, the audience is more interested to post selfie then feel the music and the band who's playing, it's also hard finding people who buy music and support underground bands, everyone think about music like something who doesn't need to pay but it's wrong.

Fabio: I agree to a parallel return of vinyl because the beauty of the analogic sound it remind me to childood memories. I think it can have success not only from nostalgic people but from young people too. If i can i prefer buying vinyl instead of CD. 💿 After the departure of two members, What can you tell us about the future of the band? Alberto: The band is alive, we found a new drummer and he's pretty good! We want to keep on doing good music and have a good time playing around! 💿 Thank you so much for your time!
