DANIEL ALMQVIST - AERODYNE

💿 Hi,it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal Daniel Almqvist of AERODYNE, the well-known HARD ROCK prodigy from SWEDEN. Let’s start talking about the early days of the band..When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? It all began a gloomy winter in 2015/2016. After some attempts in other bands, we all got together and formed Aerodyne, to get a fresh start. So in January/February we began rehearsing and writing material for our EP along with our debut album “Breaking Free”. Since then we have been working hard to make great music! Our influences is based in the 70’s and 80’s, with bands like Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and early Def Leppard.

💿 For a few days is out your first full-length called “BREAKING FREE”. Can you tell us somethin’about this platter and its composition process? We had the privilege to reviewing it and we’re very satisfied! For us one of the best Hard Rock album of the year! Oh thank you! Really glad to hear that! Well, as I said, we basically began writing the album before we even were an official band. We had maybe two songs written when we released our EP, spring 2016. As we released the EP, we continued writing songs until November 2016, when we entered the studio at BoomRoom Audioneering in a small town called Ljungskile, a couple of miles north of Gothenburg, to record the drums. The rest were done in my apartment!

💿 This album is out via Street Symphonies Records/Burning Minds Group. Can you tell us somethin’about the relationships with them? The promotion manager told me he actually heard of us from reading the booklet of Crazy Lixx’s lastest album. I did some backing vocals for a song earlier that year, so he saw my name in it. He got in touch with us after he saw the video for “Old Flames Die Hard”. 💿The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business? Personally I love the fact that vinyl are getting more popular. There are really no better ways to listen to music, than to do it on vinyl. It both sounds and feels better. Not to mention it generates more money, and eventually benefits the bands trying hard to get around, you know. It’s actually pretty tough for bands right now, and has been for many years. Big loans from record companies are very rare, so you have to finance everything by yourself. On the other hand, today you can record an album just by owning a sound card, a computer and a decent DAW, so you don’t need to own a gold mine to make an album, you just need dedication, time and efficiency. 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your next live projects to promote the new album? Are there some gigs scheduled? Actually yes! First stop will be northern Italy in mid February, not to mention some gigs in Sweden. And hopefully we’ll get the chance to go to Spain and Germany as well. Hopefully we’ll get to play everywhere, that’s the end goal, isn’t it?! Hook us up! 💿Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal! Thank you so much, have a great one!

(Thanks ATOMIC STUFF PROMOTION)
