SADAUK - JOPPE CRAMBERT

💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal, Joppe Crambert, vocalist of SADAUK, the well-known Heavy Metal band from Sweden. Let’s start talking about the early days of the band. When did this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? Hello! It started in the dark ages, around 1996! Metal had been out of focus for a couple of years, but in the underground it was boiling in fire and steel! From the start it was bands like Moonspell and Tiamat that influenced us, but the sound has been contaminated by both more sinister bands like Satyricon or Hypocrisy and more heroic bands like Nightwish or Amon Amarth. 💿 On December 8th will be out your full-length A NEW DAWN. Can you tell us something about this platter and its composition process? We had the privilege to listening to it in preview and we’re very satisfied! Oh, thank you. The album consists of one long fantasy story in six parts and seven other tracks, that we think suits the theme, but have their own stories; kings, vikings and other cool topics. The songs has evolved in different periods in our history and been modified during the process.

💿 In our opinion you’re style is deeply own and hardly classifiable in one or in the other class. Do you agree? Yes indeed! Listeners really have to make up their own opinion by obtaining the album and heed all of it; the music, lyrics and illustrations. There is a lot of different arrangement, so I don’t think they get bored – it’s an hour long! 💿The album will be out via PURE LEGEND RECORDS, a brand of PURE STEEL GROUP. Can you tell us something about the relationships with this label? It’s our first record deal and so far we both seem to understand each other and that it’s easy to work together.

💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl ; what’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business?

Primarily we made this album to ourselves, but it is fun that others can buy and listen to it.

I prefer to listen on CD in my car or with vinyl at home, but if someone prefer modern methods it is fine with me. If the CD sells enough, there will be a vinyl-press as well.

💿 Can you tell us something about your next live projects to promote the new album? Are there some gigs scheduled? We will have a release party with Starblind, who also have a new album out soon. Since there are some new members in the band, we need torehearse and see how it all will be received – by both ourselves and fans.
