💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal WALTER “CROM” GROSSE!
Of course it´s a pleasure for me to answer your questions and to get the chance to promote my new CD!!
💿On December 1st will be out your new platter called WHEN NORTHMEN DIE! Can you tell us somethin’about this album and its composition process? We had the privilege to listening to the album in preview and we’re very satisifed.. It´s great to hear that you like the new stuff.!! There was a lot of time between the last CD “Of love & death” and “When northmen die”. I´ve finished the songwriting only two years after “Of love & death” but there were much private problems that delayed the recording progress. But now I´m very proud to present a very strong and varied album with a big epic and a great sound!! I think there are some real great new songs like “Shields of gold”, “Behold the lights” or “I´m with you”. I think especially the fans of Vengeance will like the new stuff.
💿WHEN NORTHMEN DIE will be out via PURE LEGEND/PURE STEEL GROUP. Can you tell us somethin’about the relationships with this group?
Fortunately Pure steel never applied pressure on me and so I had the chance to do the whole project in my own tempo. So the relation is absolutely OK!! It´s the third release via Pure steel and everyone knows how everything has to be.
💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business?
It´s great that vinyl is coming back!! So maybe cover artworks will be more honoured than in the last years. But I don´t think that digital music is the bad thing. There´s a lack of willingness to pay for good music. As long as fans don´t want to pay for music and listen to mp3 streams instead of buying the Cds the music industrie and all artists have a big problem.
💿Are scheduled any gigs to promote this new platter? How much it matters to you playin’live?
There are some plans to play live once again but I still have no great line up for this project. But I think there is more chance to see Crom again than in the last years. I think some of the new songs could be great live songs!!
