💿 Hi,it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal STARBLIND, the well-known HEAVY METAL band from Sweden!!

💿 Let’s start talking about the early days of the band..When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you?

Starblind was formed in springtime 2013. We found each other by ads and we quickly discovered what kind of music we wanted to play and write. We all came from other bands before playing all kinds of rock and metal, but something made us gather to play in this band… Well, besides the obvious influences from the 80s heavy metal scene such as Judas Priest, Helloween, Europe, Heavy Load , Scorpions etc we all listen to a lot of music in other genres as well.

💿 On November 24th will be out your 3rd full length called NEVER SEEN AGAIN. Can you tell us somethin’about this platter and its composition process? We have the privilege to listening to in preview this album and we’re very satisfied!

Thanks! We’re really happy with the new album. What makes this album a bit different from the earlier ones is that we in the process of making it changed singer. As usual it is really hard to find good singers and of course we had to find someone who had the energy and power to fill the gap from Mike. After a while we found Marcus Sannefjord Olkerud who gave us all goosebumps when he first rehearsed with us 😊 Then the choice was easy and from then and on he is the singer and frontman in Starblind. The process of making this album didn’t differ much from the earlier ones. Someone has an idea for a song, we try it at rehearsal and listen how it sounds with the entire band. If it sounds and feels good the band works and improves it together. The recording process is the highlight of it all! We record all the musical instruments live in the studio to get the dynamic touch of it. Of course, we need to be well rehearsed and some songs takes some time to record until we’re satisfied, but it’s all worth it when we hear the result. The only thing added afterwards is vocals and keyboards.

💿 This work will be out via PURE STEEL GROUP. Can you tell us somethin’about the relationships with this label?

It has worked out very well. We released our previous album with them and it was a great opportunity to get our music out in the whole wide world.

💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl. What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business?

In this digitalized world, vinyl still feels genuine and real. It takes you back to those memories from your childhood when you could sit for hours and just stare at the album cover. It would be amazing if more people would discover this great feeling.

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about live projects to promote the new album? Are there gigs scheduled?

At this point we don’t have anything beside the release gig in Stockholm nailed, but we are looking at the possibilities to hit the roads and make a tour to promote the new album next year. Unfortunately, we cannot reveal more for now…
