BIGFOOT - SAM MILLAR

💿 Hi,it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal SAM MILLAR, guitarist of BIGFOOT, one of the best name in Hard Rock UK scene.

Let’s start talking about the early days of the band..When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? Myself and Mick formed the band in early 2014 with some big aspirations. We then got the other guys on board and were performing live by May 2014. Our main influences come from a lot of classic rock and heavy metal bands such as Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Guns N Roses, Extreme, Led Zep and Deep Purple but we have a lot of other influences stemming from Prince to really heavy stuff like Pantera. 💿 On October 13th will be out your first self-titled full-length, after two succesfull EP releases. Can you tell us somethin’about this platter and its composition process? The album I think sums up everything we do and have done for the last 3 years and more. I think every song brings something different and collectively having so many different influences can really be heard in the album. Hopefully there’s a bit of something for everyone in there. 💿 The album will be out via FRONTIERS, a well-known name in Hard Rock and Melodic Rock scene. Can you tell us somethin’about the relationships with this label? Yeah, we signed with the label in 2016 and pretty much got straight to work on the album after that. It’s great to be on a roster with such legends. Some of my favorite bands work or have worked with the label so it’s pretty cool.

💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business? I think it’s really cool! I am really excited that our album is being made on Vinyl, I’ve never had anything released on vinyl before. Anything that helps keep the music industry alive is a good thing if you ask me! 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your next live projects to promote the new album? We have seen several dates scheduled! We will be doing an official album release show close to home in Manchester which is sold out and the following week will be starting a UK tour consisting of several headline dates and also a festival and 2 support dates with Tyketto. We’ll be promoting the album mainly but will be playing plenty of our older material from our EP’s also. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL! Thank you!
