💿 Hi,it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal RICK RUHL, singer of EVERY MOTHER’S NIGHTMARE, well known Hard Rock band from Memphis, US! Let’s start talking about the early days of the band..When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you?
Hello! Thank you for interviewing me. I’ve been doing this for 30+ years. In 86/87 we played 13 shows and then I had a record deal with Arista. My favorite influences are Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Van Halen, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels, you know the norm. 💿 How much was important comin’from Memphis to make your music?
You can make good music from anywhere but being from Tennessee, there’s definitely a wang to it. It gives it a southern feel. 💿 On October 6th will be out your new full-length, GRIND. Can you tell us somethin’about this platter and its composition process, particularly about new songs?
We play what we live and live what we play. All our songs are from the gut and life events. They make the best song writing subjects. Everything is something lived. We added the new studio tracks plus new live tracks to make GRIND a full length album. 💿 The album will be out via HighVolMusic. Can you tell us somethin’about the relationships with this label?
Bill Chavis is the best. He doesn’t sugar coast anything and does what he says. He and his wife Lori are the real deal. He is also my friend.

💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling about this classic format and the current music business?
Well Bill already has a vinyl record of GRIND coming, it’s green. I grew up with vinyl, plus a record on the wall looks much better than a CD (LOL).

💿 Can you tell us somethin’about your next live projects to promote the new album?
We’ve got a bunch of shows coming up with starting with 80s In The Park (Sept) then with Bret Michaels, Tora Tora and Rocky Blue in Oct, and Nov with Kix. Plus we will be out on our own to support GRIND. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL!
Thank you for taking the time to interview me. We all appreciate your support. It keeps us going.
