💿 Hi, it's a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal, JARON GULINO, vocalist and bass player of ON TOP, well known Hard Rock band from Philadelphia area! Let's start talking about the early days of the band..When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? Hi Giovanni! Thanks for having me. On Top started toward the end of 2009 as a side project and has been on and off again over the years. Our drummer Danny and I have been working together and releasing music the entire span of the bands career while interchanging guitarists. We both come from different musical backgrounds but I think the main influences are bands with a primary focus on guitars. Sounds that range from lots of tasty 80's players with styles like George Lynch and EVH to heavier bands along the lines of Death Angel and Dio. 💿 On August 18th will be out your new EP TOP DOLLAR. We're really goin'mad for this smart work..Can you tell us somethin'about that? Is this an appetizer before the main curse (a full-length)? Thank you!! We tend to release new music as we write it to keep everything fresh and current. Our goal is to release more music, more frequently. We are not opposed to releasing a full length though, and would consider it for the next effort. 💿Can you present us your current line up? There's a new member, the young guitarist Ric Haas.. The current lineup consists of myself on bass and lead vocals, Danny Piselli on drums and backing vocals, and newcomer Ric Haas on guitar and backing vocals as well. We love and cherish everyone that has been in the band over the years but with the previous members there was a desire to spend a lot of time on their projects. This seemed to always put On Top at the bottom of the barrel in terms of playing live. Danny and I have always wanted to take the band up to the next level and begin bringing the music to the masses by touring more. Ric Haas shares the same desire and came on board at the right time. He brings a more raw and bluesy feel to the band than the previous members and has ignited our drive to be more active. 💿 The real "news" in music industry is the return of vinyl; What's your feeling about this classic format and the current music business? Personally, I love vinyl. It is great that the general public and collectors are back into records and purchasing a physical form of music. I do also support digital music releases as well since this is the most accepted format in this day and age. People have a short attention span and tend to be impatient. Being able to purchase music with the click of a button on the computer or on a cell going is a great outlet and selling perk. I support all forms of music and am open to whatever the future brings. I would love to do a vinyl release someday. Maybe for the next one! 💿 Can you tell us somethin' about your next projects, both live and studio? We plan on being busy on the road in support of "Top Dollar". We have not done a proper tour or live support of a release since our first record "Top Heavy" in 2011. I have already begun coming up with new ideas for the next release but will be sure to focus on this release for now. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL! Thanks Giovanni, we appreciate your support.
