💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal, BATTLE RAIDER, NWOTHM prodigy from MEXICO! Let’s start talking about the early days of the band. When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? BATTLE RAIDER was founded by Ryder Knightblair 7 years ago with a one and only objective ,keep the classical heavy metal alive ,then Edd thunder met Ryder Knightblair via an internet ad where he was looking for musicians with the same culture and influences, later the other elements were recruited by recommendation of friends. About our influences we like heavy metal ,flamenco,instrumental music, western music ,all these genres in general. 💿 In these days we’re talking about your new full-length, after the great HARD FLYER (2016). Can you tell us about this new work and its composition process? When it will be out? And, at last, will be there differences in style between two albums? The composition process is performed by Ryder mainly, both, lyrics and music, sometimes Edd and Billy add their ideas to these compositions but always keeping the same spiritual and mystical concept of our band. The new album will come out in august 2017. This album will have a stamp of originality that will give us the opportunity to enlist us as a totally cult band. 💿 I love the cover of new album..Who made it? Stephania Juarez, a great artist.. 💿 Can you tell us about your current line up and about changes from beginning of the band (2010)? Ryder Knightblair (lead guitar), Edd Thunder (bass), Billy Brayden (drums) and Marshall Bierk (vocals) are the current line up, we had one change of drummer ,three changes of vocals and other two guitarrists. Responsability is an important factor and we don’t tolerate clowns, you know…. 💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling with this classic format? Awesome, it´s a true pleasure for us know this news because this format has a higher value. 💿 You come from Mexico..Can you tell us somethin’about local hard’n’heavy scene? Most of the organizers and producers seek to exploit the emerging bands, don´t care how good you are because it´s a false success made up of influences and friendships. 💿 What do you think about renewed interest for traditional hard’n’heavy music? It's a good opportunity to return to heavy metal the respect and the hierarchy that deserves, that some "metalheads" have lose by the influence of the false metal publicity. 💿 Can you tell us somethin’about next live gigs?
