💿 Hi, it’s a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal TONY CURRENTI, well known as drummer on first AC/DC album “HIGH VOLTAGE ”! Let’s start talking about the early days of your experience in AC/DC. When is this all begun? Which bands have influenced you? My influence in the early days were Beatles and The Easybeats. And then Deeppurple. Playing with Jackie Christian & Flight in November 1974 in the studio of ALBERTS. I got asked to stay back to record the first album HIGH VOLTAGE by AC/DC by VANDA and GEORGE YOUNG. 💿 Angus Young is a “Top player” but Malcolm Young and George Young were the real masterminds of the band. Do you agree? Have you been in touch with some past members of the band? The mastermind was GEORGE and later MALCOLM. I haven't been in contact with them... 💿 Did you ever think this young band could have been an hard rock icon? Yes, They had a lot of potential..no doubt..They would of become big! 💿 Which song/songs is/are your favourite/s in HIGH VOLTAGE album? I like all of the them but my favourites are HIGH VOLTAGE and LOVE SONG.. 💿 Can you tell us somethin'about your life over AC/DC as musician and businessman? I was honoured to have been associated with AC/DC & many other acts at ALBERT STUDIOS.. 💿 The real “news” in music industry is the return of vinyl; What’s your feeling with this classic format? Fantastic, It's about time... 💿Thank you so much for your time, Tony! See you soon on HARDROCKHEAVYMETAL!
(Thanks Tony from the great telephone call ..very kind men!)
