💿 Hi, it's a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal ADRIAN FOLEY, guitarist of STEREO NASTY, one of the smartest band in NWOTHM scene!! Thanks for having me and for calling us smart! 💿 While I was making this interview, I was listening your first full-length, NASTY BY NATURE .. In our opinion an amazing album, a work with the heart in the past but viewing to the future, a clear sign that you're a band of great potentialities. Are you satisfied about fans reaction? I am. Very much so. The reaction has been amazing. We made that album to please ourselves first and foremost and we really couldn't have anticipated how well it would be received. We did limited edition releases on vinyl, cd and cassette and they all sold out very fast. The reviews were all fantastic too. And we get messages every week from people around the world telling us how much they dig Stereo Nasty. So I am satisfied but ultimately I would like us to reach a bigger audience and get our music out to as many people as possible. 💿 What do you think about the renewed interest for NWOBHM and traditional hard'n'heavy music? I think it's great. There's a new generation of fans that are hungry for real heavy metal. In every country we've been to I've seen guys and girls off all ages wearing t shirts and patches of old metal bands, it's like being transported back in time and I love it. Hopefully it will last for many years to come. 💿 The real "news" in music business is the return of the vinyl. What do you think about this classic format? (Ps ..In my own I've bought the black vinyl copy of NASTY BY NATURE..) With technology these days all you need is a phone and earphones to listen to any album you could ever want to but nothing can replace the feeling of getting an album on vinyl. The artwork, the ritual of putting it on, it's all part of the whole package. One of the things that excites me most when we play at festivals in other countries is being able to go through all the stacks of vinyl at the stalls. I think it's great that it's back. Without the physical format, music would become too disposable. 💿 We're excited for the new album..Can you tell us somethin'about? We've been recording the new album in sessions over the last few months. It's sounding killer and we're very proud of it. It's called Twisting The Blade. We're a band that takes songwriting seriously and we really pushed ourselves to make the best album we could. Once again we used Michael Richards and Trackmix studios because he did such a great job on the last album. Diabolic Might will be releasing the vinyl in September, Stormspell will be releasing the CD and Sarlacc Productions will be doing the cassette. We'll post a new song next week (07/06/17) and the full album will be available for streaming and download in July. 💿 Can you give us some info about your next gigs? We're going to do a short tour with Toledo Steel in August that's built around our appearance at the Trvheim Festival.
