ÅSKVÄDER are an hard rock power trio ready to unleash a stunning self-titled album on March 13th.

A great blend of nineties Scandinavian rock, hot riffs, bluesy vibes and catchy refrains.

Obviously someone can hear influences from bands such as The Hellacopters and Turbonegro, but Åskväder are able to put togheter their own style of hard rock.

The mix was left to Robert Perhsson (Robert Perhssons Humbucker) to handle and this truly put an intense vibe to the album.

Åskväder was formed in 2018 consisting of Staffan Persson with his speed bass grooves, Jon Solheim on drums and lead vocals and Martin Gut on guitar.

Ten songs in this album, opened by a smart THUNDERSTORM and CUTTING CORNERS, a good mix of Hellacopters, maybe less direct, with bass lines in pole position and an effective guitar’s solo.

GOD’S GRACE shows more influences, from garage to indie to less fast passages, and it’s surely interesting.

We go on with NOTHING TO LOOSE, a more rockin’ and winnin’ one..a bit of THIN LIZZY with another great solo.

GIVE IN is a classic bluesy song, while BIT MY LIP is again more rockin’.

DEVIL’S FEAST is another example of seventies hard rock well played, with solo parts always brilliant, before ELYSIUM, more enjoyable but never banal.

DEFEAT and THE MISER are the smart two last shots, which end an album surely interesting.
