BAND SDI
ALBUM 80’S METAL BAND
LABEL MDD
OUT 31/1/2020
OUR RATING 81/100
31 years after their last full-length, the third MISTREATED, SDI return with a new full-lenght.
After the “resurrection” of 2013, SDI went to perform on several shows and festivals such as "True Thrash Fest" in Japan, "Obscene Extreme" in Czech Republic and other gigs and tours across Europe since 2017.
Last year the trio recorded 12 new tracks, which we’ll find in new album entitled 80’S METAL BAND, out Jan 31st.
The title of the platter makes it clear on what is the way to go..
The first shot is the title track, so squared and “teutonic”, the whole thing enhanced by roaring bass and dirty vocals.
FREERIDE is heavier, with a great structure, sharp riffing and a shredding solo.
*ORNO starts with a bass attack before entering guitar and drums; heavy and grandiloquent with a clear 80’s hard’n’heavy touch.
Classic speed HM in ACTION while THRASH provides great changes of time and a great solo, while in SNEAKY WAR riffing is really squared and sharp.
We go on with (LET THE) BALL RUN, on the same line, and with more lilting HERE AND NOW.
Son of PRIESTS next BACK AGAINST THE WALL before more “punky” I HATE YOU.
Last two songs are DEAD AND GONE, that shows a sound closer to hard rock in the first slice and ends with acoustic guitar, and SHE SAID, a smart track that ends in the best way this long awaited return
WELCOME BACK..SDI ROCK!!!
