Founded in 2009, SCEPTOR are a US/German band ready to unleash the new album RISE TO THE LIGHT on Sept 24th on PURE STEEL RECORDS.

The current line up consists of Torsten "Todde" Lang (Ex-RITUAL STEEL, Ex-TITAN STEELE) on guitars, Bob Mitchell (THE HOUNDS OF HASSELVANDER, Ex-ALCHEMY X, Ex- ATTACKER) on vocals, Timo "Moe" Nolden (BASTARD NATION) on guitars, KK Basement (ex-ADORNED GRAVES, ex-HAMMER KING) on bass and Florian Bodenheimer (HELL PATRÖL) on drums.

After the 7" “Introducing… Sceptor" released in 2010 and the full length album entitled “Take Command!" released in 2012, the band split up in 2014.

But now they’re ready to return with a new album and live, with their 80’s HM, where tipically “Teutonic” influences are mixed at their best with US POWER elements and guitars’work of the double leads, son of British tradition.

Robert Romagna is responsible for sound and mastering with another great job, making sound balanced between tradition and modernity.

Nine new tracks and two bonus in this new platter opened by the instrumental intro PAST REFLECTIONS and followed by CROWN OF NAILS, a pounding mic-tempo, classic and pressing, enriched by vocals Bob Mitchell, scratchin’ and epic at the same time.

Driving bass lines and dynamic sound to make the structure interesting.

THE CURSE OF ORLAC is another more direct ace while the title-track is another brilliant mid-tempo.

They go on with DISSENSION, which provides slower rhythms, and it’s one of our favorite..the perfect tune,rich, powerful and magnetic.

Classic vibes in BEYOND THE UNKNOWN, direct but never obvious, while SOVEREIGN and SPARTACUS are perfect for faster headbangers, the first with European power metal influences, the second with Maiden’s drops.

In the middle ARMOUR BLACK, where heavier riffing meets more thoughtful moments.

TO SUGGEST WITHOUT HESITATION..SCEPTOR ARE BACK!!
