DAVID REECE is a well known name in hard n’heavy world and on our pages; on Oct 29th is scheduled the new album entitled BLACKLIST UTOPIA, available on EL PUERTO RECORDS.

The successful team with Andy Susemihl continues, helped by Malte Frederik Burkett on bass and Francesco Jovino (Hardline, U.D.O.) on drums.

13 songs in this new platter where David and his mates are able to show a contemporary sound without forgetting the roots of classic hard h’heavy.

Surely an album heavier but there’s no shortage of melodic and catchy passages, where David Reece fits perfectly with both of them.

They start with UTOPIA that, after an instrumental intro, sees David in perfect shape, with a veil of melancholy sweetened by following melodic touches.

You’ll appreciate the work of rhythm section, enhanced by driving bass lines and dynamic drumming, and solo parts, both touching and inspired.

RED BLOODED HELL RAISER is more direct and rockin’, while down to the core, after a darker start, sounds fresh.

They go on with CIVIL WAR, with a riffing heavier at times, and brilliant I CAN’T BREATHE, known as single, and truly one of our favorite.

Direct and powerful MOST OF THE TIME with two great solo parts to remember, while AMERICAN DREAM opens with acoustic and vocals..a fancy track to remark.

Another ace is BEFORE WE FADE AWAY, enriched by KB inserts, while HINDSIGHT IS 2020 is a darker song with some wider touch, a tune that fits perfectly with last two years that we lived.

More lilting DEVIL AT MY DOORSTEP, with a great structure and sharper at times, maybe one step behind, followed by great SAVE ME.

Last two shots that end in the best way this brilliant album are heavier HIGHWAY CHILD and BOOK OF LIES, very impressive with its solo parts.

DAVID REECE IS BACK WITH ANOTHER BRILLIANT WORK, SURELY ONE OF OUR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR!!
