BAND QUASARBORN
ALBUM A PILL HARD RO SWALLOW
LABEL SELF RELEASE
OUT 24/01/2020
OUR RATING 85/100
Quasarborn was formed in 2016 by Luka Matković (guitars, vocals), Marko Danilović Tihi (drums), Miloš Tomasović (bass) and Đorđe Luković (guitars) after leaving the Serbian thrash metal band Space Eater.
The quartet has played several shows together with Space Eater, but decided to form a band of their own due to artistic differences.
Partially still influenced by old school thrash metal, Quasarborn tries to incorporate many different styles of metal and music.
The Odyssey to Room 101, the band’s debut album, came out in May 2018.
The band announced their second album A Pill Hard to Swallow in June 2019 with the single Atlas.
The release date is set for January 24th 2020 and we have the chance to listening to it in preview.
A REALLY INTERESTING ALBUM BY A BAND ABLE TO PROVIDE A CLEAR AND OWN STYLE; WE CAN FEEL MANY INFLUENCES BUT THE PERSONAL TOUCH OF THE BAND IS FELT EVERYWHERE.
We love when it’s impossible to classify the sound of a band..technical thrash, contemporary metal, melodic metal, prog metal..all time wasted!!
They are able to change style and select different times throughout every songs and I believe this is a real added value.
The range of vocals goes to rough moments to more melodic approach, guitar solos are always awesome and the rhythm section contributes a lot in designing complex structures.
They’re able to provide songs more direct or tunes more structured, anyway the level is always high.
NO DOUBT! TO SUGGEST!!
