And finally the new album of QUARTZ is out and we have the pleasure to show you the brand new cd!!
Quartz today are Mick Hopkins on guitar, Malcom Cope on drums and Derek Arnold on bass; on vocals we can find again not forgotten Geoff Nichols, special guest Tony Martin on brilliant EVIL LIES, David
Garner and great Geoff Bate (singer in third album “Against all odds”).
Founder member Geoff Nicholls sadly passed away in 2017, but before his passing recorded demos and many musical ideas at his home studio. Mick Hopkins worked hard on these stuff.
David Garner provided his contribution on three songs, DEATH OR GLORY, MASTER OF THE RAINBOW, a tribute to RJ DIO, and BABYLON IS BURNING.
A brilliant album, nothin’ to add..since first FREAK OF NATURE, with its sabbath’s riffing, melodic interludes and vocals and solos by Geoff N.
Mighty and doomy DEATH OR GLORY where all sounds brilliant but we love THEY DO MAGIC, a classic track with a great structure with Geoff Bate on vocals, who provided his more melodic touch.
To remark NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, where doom meets rhythm.
More pressing ANGELS AT THE CROSSROADS, which reminds atmospheres of Black Sabbath’s Dio’s era.
To remark also KEEP UP THE FIGHT with DEREK ARNOLD on vocals.
A no-filler album closed by brilliant WORLD OF ILLUSION and HIGHWAY TO MADNESS, powerful and mighty.
ONE OF OUR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR?! YESSSS!
