OUR RATING 85/100
NIGHT PROWLER are ready to unleash their debut album, “No Escape”, available on Feb 26th on DYING VICTIM PRODUCTIONS on vinyl.
Based in São Paulo, Brazil, NIGHT PROWLER was formed in 2017 by guitarist Luke D. Couto.
In early 2017, Couto began working on new compositions for a possible solo album.
The initial idea was to release an EP with five tracks, which were composed in the first half of 2017.
The original lineup of NIGHT PROWLER consisted of Fernando Donasi (vocals), Luke D. Couto (guitar), Igor Senna (guitar), Gabriel Teixeira (bass), and Victor Oliveira (drums). After finishing the songs, the band signed with Kill Again Records and, in 2018, released their debut album, No Escape.
Since then, NIGHT PROWLER have shared stages of clubs and festivals with such bands as Sweden’s Air Raid, Murdeath, Breakout, and Flagelador.
In 2019, drummer Victor Oliveira left the band and was replaced with former Leather Faces drummer Cave Hoffmann.
NO ESCAPE is an amazing album, a gorgeous blend of traditional HM with shredding solos, 80’s keyboards; a band able to provide an unique style.
After the first RUNNER97T, ai instrumental intro with cinematic parts and 80’s flavour, make it real shows a large range of influences, form Classic Metal to Maidens, showing vocals with a lot of personality, shredding solo parts and driving bass lines.
Pressing drums to open NEVER SURRENDER, a more traditional tune with rich solo parts, while NIGHT PROWLER grows second after second, epic and grandiloquent.
After the great OUT IN THE STREETS, THE WITCHES CURSE is a comeback to traditional side, while LOVE HARD GIRLS is a wider song .
After more classic BURNING DESIRE, NO ESCAPE is an old-school speed song and surely one of our favorite, before fancy STRANGER ends in the best way this album that we suggest without hesitation.
TRADITIONAL HM, CLASSIC HM, AN 80’S TOUCH, SHREDDING..A GREAT BAND TO KEEP AN EYE ON!!
