Dutch metal band Martyr will release a new studio full-lenght, entitled “Planet Metalhead”, on Feb 24th, 2022, another great example of old-school HM, with speed and thrash influences.

Planet Metalhead will be available in various formats and bundle packages and is set for a worldwide release through the Dutch Pt78 Records label in association with No Dust Records (Netherlands), Rock Stakk Records (Japan), Animated Insanity Records (U.S.A.), Classic Metal Records (South America).

The ten tracks of the platter show a various range of vibes with a contemporary twist and a powerful production.

Six year after brilliant YOU ARE NEXT, PLANET METALHEAD is opened by anthemic RAISE YOUR HORNS, UNITE!.

After a melodic intro, they start classic and squared; pressing drums and roaring bass lines, an epic touch and well-groomed backing vocals.

DEMON HAMMER is the second shot marked by embracing riffing and dynamic drum’s lines; after an interesting tempo change with a more thoughtful break they restart heavier and with sharp vocals.

The go on with CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT that, after waiting a few moments, is another heavy attack that you’ll appreciate.

FIRE OF REBELLIONS, after a great intro, is another example of classic HM well-played and well-designed, while NO TIME FOR GOODBYES, one of our favorite, is a track with a brilliant structure, inspired and more thoughtful at times.

They go on with METAL OVERDRIVE, heavy and grandiloquent, and LA DIABLA!, a relentless speed HM enhanced by a great structure and brilliant solo parts.

We love DIARY OF A SINNER, which combines Priests’ elements and thrash touches, and following CHURCH OF STEEL, while the long outro WINGS IN A DARKENED SOUL ends in the best way this great platter.

One of our highlights on this first part of 2022! MARTYR..THE LEGEND GOES ON!!
