Classic Hm band from Texas IGNITOR were out last Friday with a new album entitled THE GOLDEN AGE OF BLACK MAGICK, out via Metal On Metal Records.

IGNITOR were formed in Austin, Texas in 2003 with legendary Agony Column guitarist Stuart Laurence, Brendon Bigelow on bass, Beverly Barrington on guitar, Pat Doyle (Offenders) on drums, and vocalist Erika Swinnich. The band wanted to write music reflecting their passion for heavy, speed, and power metal.

IGNITOR released their debut album TAKE TO THE SKY in 2004.

In 2007 IGNITOR released ROAD OF BONES featuring a cover art by legendary MOTORHEAD collaborator Joe Petagno.

In 2008 the band released THE SPIDER, while in 2012 saw the release of YEAR OF THE METAL TIGER.

IGNITOR released MIXTAPE ’85 in 2013, a collection of favorites recalling the peak years for thrash and heavy metal.

In 2017 IGNITOR released YEARS OF WAR 2008 – 2013, an anthology, and their sixth album entitled HAUNTED BY ROCK & ROLL.

THE GOLDEN AGE OF BLACK MAGICK is the new platter with 8 songs, opened by SECRETS OF THE RAM, a traditional HM song with a great texture, enriched by pressing drums, driving bass lines, a brilliant riffing, scratchin’ vocals and solo parts always brilliant.

COUNTESS APOLLYION is another fresh tune which entertain us with its metallized heavy rock, while the title track grows second after second.. a more mature song full on inspiration.

HELL SHALL BE YOUR HOME restarts traditional before more rockin’ TONIGHT WE RIDE.

They run in heavier STEEL FLESH BONE, enriched by some power metal drops, while EXECUTION WITHOUT TRIAL is darker and grandiloquent.

STONED AT THE ACROPOLIS ends in the best way this great album.

Another confirm by a brilliant band..TO SUGGEST WITHOUT HESITATION!!!!
