We have the chance to have on our pages a few days ago PHIL DENTON of ELIXIR (https://www.hardrockheavymetal.info/post/phil-denton-elixir) and now it’s time to spread our opinion about new album VOYAGE OF THE EAGLE, out on March 6th on DISSONANCE.

With four on five members of masterpiece SON OF ODIN, this platter provides ten song where the trademarks of the band are clear and taken to the highest level.

Since first song DRINK TO THE DEVIL all sounds great, with PAUL TAYLOR (also known as singer of Desolation Angels) in his best shape, and a experienced band which hasn’t lost inspiration throughout years.

PRESS GANGED starts in solo, one of several which we can find in this platter, with an heavier riff and a great structure, all enhanced by a little dirty production that grows the epic of the songs.

THE SIREN’S SONG, with the contribution on vocals by KATIE ALYS BARTON, is a fancy and awesome litany that embraces you and attracts you as sirens.

The waves of the sea end this song and open the next, SAIL ON, that grows grandiloquent second after second.

Two more directs and squared songs are ONWARD TROUGH THE STORM and ALMOST THERE, interspersed with great MUTINY.

WHISPER ON THE BREEZE, well-known as lyric video, precedes last and inspired song EVERMORE.

TO SUGGEST..ONE OF OUR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR..NWOBHM ALWAYS ALIVE AND KICKIN’!!
