Swiss band DISTANT PAST was active as a studio project from 2002 to 2016, while the main protagonists were mainly still active in their main bands.

In 2016 their «One Night only» concert took place and another one with a different line up in 2018.

The albums ´Utopian void´ (2014) and ´Rise of the Fallen´ (2016) were released via Pure Steel Publishing.

In 2019, the two former Emerald members Jvo (vocals) and Adriano (bass) found new members to carry on.

With drummer Remo and guitarists Ben & Lorenz, they created their own mark again.

THE FINAL STAGE, the new platter, will be out on March 26th, 2021, again via PURE STEEL PUBLISHING.

KILL THE DRAGON is the first shot, a fresh classic Hm song, influenced by PRIESTS and by 80’s sound, with brilliant solo parts, followed by convincing STARING AT THE STARS.

QUEEN OF SIN is a strong track, enhanced by driving bass and pounding drums; again to remark well-groomed solo parts, a trademark of the band.

In FALL FROM GLORY we can find some Maiden’s drops, all enriched by vocals always inspired.

I AM OMEGA is one of our favorite, all flows perfectly, followed by rhythmic THE POWER OF EVIL, another ace.

The title-track is a soft interlude which introduces DAWN CITY, the more structured song with great tempo changes and solo parts where two axes express themselves at their best.

After WORLD OF WIRES, PATH OF FATE, classic and squared, ends in the best way this great album that WE SUGGEST!!
