Italian legends DARK QUARTERER are ready to unleash their new concept album entitled POMPEI, detailing the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, out on Nov 6th, 2020 via CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC.

Almost 40 years from the birth the band is guided again by founding members Gianni Nepi (bass/vocals) and Paolo "Nipa" Ninci (drums).

ECLIPSE will be the band's 8th studio album and first for Cruz Del Sur Music.

The album was recorded in this first slice of 2020 at the band's own studio in Tuscany .

Pompei is an adventurous trip of prog/epic epic metal songs, driven largely by the band's compositional flair and advanced musical abilities.

Six songs in this first platter and the first shot is VESUVIUS, a long trip where prog metal and seventies hard rock drops make somethin’special, with a texture which attracts the attention of listeners.

Fancy keyboards inserts and inspired guitar’s parts enrich this first track.

WELCOME TO THE DAY OF LIGHT is the second ace which starts more direct, while PANIC shows another rich progressive structure, enhanced by evocative vocals.

A long trip which grows second after second with gorgeous solo parts by guitar and keyboards.

PLINIUS THE ELDER is another ace, followed by brilliant GLADIATOR.

The last shot is FOREVER, both suffered and softer, which ends in the best way this platter.
