All our readers are in waitin’, among others, for the return of CLOVEN HOOF; the band born in NWOBHM movement is ready to unleash a new album entitled AGE OF STEEL, out on April 24th, for the first time on Pure Steel Records.

The target of the band is making the final leap, with more layering and texture next to blistering heavy guitars..goal achieved!

Since first BATHORY, the structure is really complex; a grandiloquent intro opens the song, powerful with a touch of melody when it needs.

Solo parts are inspired, drum is pressing and the track grows second after second.

ALDERLEY EDGE is more epic, shows more power metal passages, more vocals solutions, and we can feel the inspiration of best Maidens.

More powerful and squared next APATHY, thanks to roaring bass; production is clear and solo parts are again to remark.

TOUCH THE RAINBOW shows the classic CLOVEN HOOF trademarks, reminding something from last two albums of the band.

If BEDLAM push a bit less, ASCENSION is again powerful and strong; there’s no shortage of epic drops.

Heavier the smart GODS OF WAR, with strong runaways within a complex structure.

We go on with VICTIM OF THE FURIES and JUDAS, squared songs, before the title track, one of our favs, a real gem, ends in the best way this platter.

NO DOUBT..ONE OF OUR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR...NWOBHM ALIVE AND KICKIN’!
