THE PENDULUM is the new EP by Candlemass out on March 27th on NAPALM RECORDS.
It consists of six songs taken from sessions of well-received THE DOOR TO DOOM.
Surely not second rate material, but songs which deserve the proper space.
THE PENDULUM, the title track, is a mature song, opened by a fancy arpeggio and enriched by a strong and squared riff.
There’s space for more doom parts and a great solo, showing a brilliant texture.
Not least SNAKES OF GOLIATH, embracing and grandiloquent, followed by two instrumentals, SUB ZERO and AFTERSHOCK, the first with a thin arpeggio while the second is a short intro for the main dish of side B of the vinyl.
PORCELAIN SKULL shows a more articulated and fancy structure, followed by acoustic outro entitled THE COLD ROOM.
SUGGESTED FOR WHO APPRECIATED THE BRILLIANT THE DOOR OF DOOM.
