A year after “Dulce Bellum Inexpertis” EP, positive received on our pages, Philadelphia’s Blazon Rite returns with their debut full-length, entitled “Endless Halls of Golden Totem”, available on May 28th, 2021.

Because of the pandemic, they went months without rehearsal, let alone playing a show, and had difficulty in finding the right studio to record their first full-length.

The band waited patiently until restrictions were eased to practice, then decided to record the album by themselves.

Matermind James Kirn formed Blazon Rite in 2019 with little expectations

After shopping the EP, Italian Gates of Hell Records (CRUZ DEL SUR GROUP) signed the band for its proper release.

Eight songs in this first album opened by LEGENDS OF TIME AND EIDOLON, that starts epic and majestic before becoming pressing.

A great example of traditional HM, enhanced by driving bass lines, tempo changes and brilliant solo parts.

PUT DOWN YOUR STEEL (ONLY FOR THE NIGHT) is a more squared song, followed by THE EXECUTIONER’S WOE.

The title track exalts the epic side, enriched by a central acoustic break and a following gorgeous solo, before the last slice is closed by a drum roll and a new fast run.

In ALCHEMIST’S BRUTE we can find fast pace, closer to speed HM, alternating with more classic vibes; after a KB’s break, a brilliant solo enhances one of our favorite songs.

THE NIGHT WATCHMEN...is an inspired and lilting song, with more heavy rock vibes while CONSUMED BY GLORY LIGHT is maybe the tune that convinces less.

INTO SHORE OF BLOOD grows second after second, epic and majestic; a more structured song that ends in the best way this brilliant album.
