BACKWATER is an Hard Rock band from Switzerland alive since 2013, which consists of

Marc Vermot on VC, Stéphane Monbaron on LG, Fred Gudit on GT,

Michel Demierre on BG and Thierry Wetzel on DR.

This second Backwater album entitled "Rock’n’Roll History" is inspired by rock played in the seventies and eighties.

The 13 tracks of this new album were recorded ‘’ LIVE ’’ in the foundry studios in Fribourg, all mixed with an authentic sound.

The influences of the band are clear..surely first AC/DC, a touch of Southern and Swiss Bands such as KROKUS or KILLER.

But they are able to develop a deeply own style, rich of passion, enriched by guitars’ solo parts always inspired and by solid rhythm section and effective vocals.

We can find many songs son of Boogie Hard rock, with structures clear and simple but well played, or moments more thoughtful such as the first part of ROCKIN’STYLE or ANGEL OF DEVIL.

In SWEET LITTLE PASSION the flavour of seventies is strong, while in ROSIE GOT A GUN is to remark the bluesy touch.
