ALBUM MEAT WE’RE MADE OF

OUT June 30th, 2022

OUR RATING 87/100

DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is ready to unleash the debut album of ANIMALIZE, entitled “Meat We're Made Of”, available on CD and vinyl LP formats on June 30th, 2022.

French band ANIMALIZE started in 2014, when the moniker was chosen, but their lineup didn’t solidify until 2018.

With many influences from 70’s/80’s and from classic french HM masters like ADX, Sortilège and Warning, they released their debut EP, “Tapes from the Crypt”, in 2020; now they’re ready with their full-length debut, “Meat We're Made Of”, a great blend of classic HM, speed metal and power-thrash.

They start with “Samouraï de l'Univers”, the first ace; classic metal in the best French tradition, helped by pressing drummin’, roaring bass lines and top level vocals.

To remark blasting solo parts for this first kick in the teeth.

“Back From the Sematary”, starts classic, both powerful and crushing, while “If However You Can Last” is a short interlude to open following “Eternal Second”, another brilliant track.

“Pigs From Outer Space” is powerful and squared while “Escorte Funèbre”, is a long march where vocals draw the line with great skill.

“Saturday Night Witchcraft” is a song on the heels of other great contemporary traditional HM bands, followed by “The Witch You Are”, enriched again by brilliant solo parts.

The last shot is “Esprit de l'Asile”, both powerful and fast, that ends in the best way one of the best things listened in this first part of 2022.
