"Diamond Cut Diamond" is the 2nd full-length from Australian Traditional HM band CONVENT GUILT, available from Nov 9th via Gates Of Hell Records. The follow-up to 2014's "Guns For Hire" was recorded and mixed in the first half of 2018 by Lachie Vercoe and was mastered by Patrick Engel at Temple Of Disharmony.
"Diamond Cut Diamond" contains seven great songs, made by a band which learned the lesson of classic metal masters and NWOBHM, while developing a deeply own style.
HOWLING VENGEANCE is a great trip between classic metal and 70's Hard Rock enhanced by vocals deliberately flowed; surely interesting, reminding us somethin' from contemporary bands such as CAULDRON.
BORN TO TROUBLE sees rhythm increasin', the whole thing in a sinister environment, reminding us somethin' from masters ANGEL WITCH..solos are really stunning!
POWER DRY is another classic "old school" gem, powerful without exceeding, while SCREAM OUT YOUR HEART is another legitimate son of eighties.
BONNIE AND CLYDE shows its punky flavour, after a startin' in solo, while THIEF IN THE NIGHT is direct and effective.
The last great shot is FOXES RUN, almost 8 mins' duration, a various track able to leave instruments free to express themselves.
