BLACK LOTUS are a en epic/doom band from Barcelona, ready with their debut album 'Sons Of Saturn', available from October 19th 2018 via Inverse Records.

Founded by Hug Ballesta in 2015, they headed into the Moontower Studio at the end of 2017. The album is recorded and mixed by Javi Félez and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Portland, Oregon.

Black Lotus' sound is forged by many influences of the band's members.

Surely we can find love and inspiration from Traditional HM, the common factor and driving force of the band, but from the first song, KINGS, we can feel sinister parts well mixed with epic mood of vocals.

THE SANDSTORM, with over 10 min duration, shows a various range of sound, between psych and classic doom.

PROTECTIVE FIRE, opened by an intro, is surely classic but with a progressive attitude.

Another intro again for SONS OF SATURN, a right mix of Black Sabbath, a sprinkle of epic sound and a bit of the fresh vibe of bands such as BLACK LABEL SOCIETY.

THE SWAMP goes on in the same way, surely focusing on doom mood, before leavin' space to outro RETURN TO CEREBUS.
