Coming from Australia, Road Warrior are ready for their debut album  (availaible from October 12th via Gates of Hell Records) with eight-song debut which combines classic HM with many other things Their name was inspired by Mad Max 2 movie (alternatively titled as The Road Warrior) that featured Mel Gibson portraying a hardened but humane Main Force Patrol officer who tries to uphold the law in  Australia.

The band features bassist/vocalist Denimal Blake, guitarist Overdryve and drummer Villon; Blake, who is also known for his job in black/death metallers Cauldron Black Ram and avant-garde outfit StarGazer, has quenched his thirst for classic heavy metal in Road Warrior.

DON'T FIGHT FATE is the first shot, with its classic riffing that reminding us somethin' from NWOBHM acts as MYTHRA or TYTAN.

On IRON WING sees the band increasing rhythms, with a more articulated  riff closer to speed, while DEVILS IN WAITING shows a great structure and great changes of time,.

The album goes on and it's interesting, at times with a seventies flavour son of Black Sabbath, as in BACK ALLEY TOKYO WOMAN.

The last ace is THE FUTURE IS PASSED, so sinister, with a great central solo.

A great album, maybe it would be interesting seein' more solo parts, at times sacrificed.
