From Cleveland, Ohio to Florida vocalist and guitarist Deryck Heignum brought a great passion for HM.
He teamed up with bassist and studio engineer Stan Martell and with drummer Austin Laneand tht he result was 2015’s “A Dark Formation” under the moniker Stormlurker.
The three musicians got together again in 2017 under the name Dungeon Wolf, in order to record a real gem as upcoming “Slavery Or Steel “.
Let's start from the end: Dungeon Wolf's “Slavery Or Steel” is a mix of styles: progressive, epic, technical, power, speed, and old school metal.
In short, a multifaceted and well-balanced debut album!
You can understand it from first song HIDDEN DREAMS; the vocals' solutions provided are various and astonishing and the spaces for guitar's solos, always really inspired, are several.
In LAST ALIVE sound looks sometimes progressive and nothin' seems obvious.
The album goes on in its diversity, without never appearing boring.
The last shot is LORD OF ENDLESS NIGHT, a soft-doom farewell that ends in the best way this great album.
