Consisting of 8 songs and an intro , ‘A Thousand Echoes’ is an heavy metal trip through real human stories steeped in war, struggle, tragedy and hope. Inspired by true stories, this album has a foundation built on genuine emotion.

3 of the 5 members of Ascendant grew up in Syria, which is now undergoing a bloody civil war. Each one of them has experienced loss and tragedy; they have seen firsthand the horrible effects of war on innocent people.

Multiple songs on this album deal with the unseen human victims of wars. This album also features several guests: Simon and Elias Abou Assali are featured on the song ‘Land of a Thousand Echoes’ which is about people who risk their lives brave the dangerous sea crossing to escape their war-torn homes and find refuge someplace safer.

Simon and Elias are survivors who made just such a crossing a few years ago. The album features Lindsay Schoolcraft (Cradle of Filth) on the track ‘Morning Light’. Hadi Sarieddine (Solo & Benevolent, UAE) lent his talents in the Intro Arrangements for ‘Twilight of Eden’ and ‘Fog of War’.

After the great intro, DOOMSDAY MACHINE, starts powerful, enhanced by vocals that sounding hoarse, developing itself in somethin'classic.

WALLS BETWEEN US goes on in the same way, with remarkables solo parts.

FOG OF WAR starts heavier but this song is able to free flowing.

MORNING LIGHT sees rhythms goin' stronger, enriched by darker atmospheres in startin'; the voice of LINDSAY SCHOOLCRAFT seems to soften this song.

In the last slice all becomes stronger.

LAND OF A THOUSAND ECHOES is a various song, almost prog, with changes of times and varied situations.

FALSE ILLUSION is direct at the beginning, enhanced by an amazing riffing and relevants solo parts.

TEARS OF HIS MAJESTY is another tune characterised by its assortment, while AT THE END OF THE WORLD goes on in the same way, being at the same time melodic and powerful.
