Two and a half years ago, the complete back catalogue of this California US Metal band had been re-issued through Karthago Records, which included all re-releases between 1986 and 1992.

Now we're ready to listening to the first album since "Desperate Years".

St. Elmo's Fire are back after 25 years with their new album "Evil Never Sleeps", enhanced by vocals of new singer Kevin Brady, that fit perfectly into the sound of the band.

WE WILL NOT TO DIE starts classic, powerful and fast; RISE is heavier, maybe less fast with a more modern sound.

BETRAYER is more structured with great solo parts while LORD OF THUNDER is heavier, reminding us somethin'from METALLICA in not thrash mood.

BETRAYER begins more classic; a tune nice to listening and easily assimilable.

EVIL NEVER SLEEPS (DOOMSDAY) is a different song, darker, hard to define but interesting.

SOULTAKER is characterized by a great bass job and It's a bit more modern, while ACROSS THE NATIONS has a good structure, more catchy at times.

After ASLEEP IN THE NEVER, HAMMER and UNSLAVED are strong and various, before WASTED, pressing and sparkling, that ends this great work.

Lastly:

ST.ELMOS FIRE are back in their best shape..An album to have!
