Formed in 2003 by founding Agony Column guitarist Stuart "Batlord" Laurence and drummer Pat Doyle formerly of punk legends The Offenders, IGNITOR set out to create the kind of true heavy metal their contemporaries in the Austin, Texas metal scene were lacking.

Enduring lineup changes along the way found IGNITOR replacing original vocalist Erica Swinnich with Jason McMaster (Watchtower, Dangerous Toys, Broken Teeth, Evil United) a much revered elder statesman in Texas metal scene, who was introduced on the "Spider Queen" album in 2007. In early 2015 IGNITOR would recruit guitarist Robert Williams (Witches Mark) and bassist Billy Dansfiell (Agony Column) beginning a near three year campaign of introducing metal fans to the newly reinvigorated lineup with some scorching live performances in support of Grim Reaper, Helstar, Jag Panzer or Raven.

This album starts with TO BRAVE THE WAR, classic HM, old school HM with increasing speed second by second.

The title track is a different song, almost HR in the first time, reminding us THIN LIZZY'S riffs, next with heavier drops.

HEAVY IS THE HEAD..is a more focused hard'n'heavy song escorted by "dirty" vocals before HATCHET that begins with a powerful drummin' introducing a classic HM tainted from high voltage rock'n'roll drops.

LEATHER FOREVER is a more direct tune, mighty but without exasperated rhythms.

NOMAD is more structured, classic and not speed Hm, a great track!

NO SANCTUARY goes on in the same way before THROW THEM FROM THE CLIFF, powerful with great accelerations.

The conclusion is reserved to HUNG, DRAWN AND QUARTER, a really personal cover of RAVEN's classic.

IGNITOR ARE BACK IN THE BEST WAY WITH THEIR GREAT CLASSIC HM SOAKED IN HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK'N'ROLL!!
